Comment from Katsuhiro Miura, Head of Iwate BPO Fortress
It is a true honor and privilege to receive this prestigious award today.
The Iwate BPO Fortress, planned under the theme of "An Office Environment Where Everyone Shines," is our group's first BPO hub established on the Pacific coast, partly for the purpose of BCP (Business Continuity Planning). The office design incorporates the scenery of Genbikei Gorge, a famous spot in Ichinoseki City, to evoke a sense of tranquility and connection with the local nature for all visitors.
Aiming to enhance employee well-being, we have focused on the quality of the working environment, introducing features such as "floor-seepage air conditioning" to maintain a comfortable temperature, and a ventilation system that effectively incorporates natural airflow. Furthermore, we have fully equipped the facility to meet diverse needs, including a nursery to support work-life balance, a training studio for physical and mental refreshment, and powder rooms in the restrooms.
We also aspire to be a company deeply rooted in the local community. We have fostered interaction with local residents by opening our cafeteria, "Vist café," to the public and hosting seasonal events. On the environmental front, as our group’s first carbon-neutral facility, we have installed solar power generation and are committed to efforts toward realizing zero CO2 emissions in power consumption, thereby contributing to the creation of a sustainable society.
Currently, this 500-seat office is highly regarded by our employees. Moving forward, we are committed to maintaining and improving an environment where every employee feels motivated and can work brilliantly, and we will strive to deepen our coexistence with the local government and community members, contributing to the development of the regional society.
