Prestige International Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shinichi Tamagami; hereinafter “PI”) is pleased to announce that Toyama BPO Town has been registered as a “Zero Carbon City Imizu” Environment Partner, a program promoted by Imizu City, and attended the certification ceremony held on February 25.

About the “Zero Carbon City Imizu” Environment Partnership Program
Imizu City issued the “Zero Carbon City Declaration” in 2023 and is promoting various initiatives aimed at achieving carbon neutrality by reducing greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050. As part of these efforts, this program was established to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the business sector, as well as to foster development through mutual collaboration among environment partners and the government, working together to advance these initiatives.
Initiatives at Toyama BPO Town
Through its business activities, the PI Group promotes initiatives aimed at realizing a decarbonized and resource-circulating society, striving to reduce the burden on the global environment and local communities. Toyama BPO Town has implemented the following specific activities and endorsed Imizu City's “Zero Carbon City Declaration,” which led to this partner registration.
- Introduction of Company EVs and EV Chargers
Since 2022, we have introduced EVs (electric vehicles) into our fleet of company cars to reduce CO2 emissions. Furthermore, in 2025, we installed four EV chargers that employees can use free of charge as part of our welfare benefits, thereby aiming to popularize EVs and raise environmental awareness within the company.
- Hosting of SDGs Events
In 2025, we hosted an event where families could learn about the environment while having fun. Through activities such as EV test drives, charging experiences, environmental lectures, and workshops, we created opportunities to think about global warming countermeasures with local residents and encourage decarbonization efforts at home.
Future Plan
In May 2022, the PI Group expressed its support for the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations, setting a group-wide target of achieving net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050. Moving forward, as a “Zero Carbon City Imizu” Environment Partner, we will continue to reduce our environmental impact through our business operations and contribute to the sustainable development of the local community in collaboration with local governments and residents.
