Sustainability Issues and Targets

The Prestige International Group has set material issues (materiality) and targets to be addressed by 2030 in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We have identified approximately 50 risks and selected more important ones for our group. Through the resolution of these materiality, we will contribute to creating a sustainable society.

Materiality Identification Process

STEP 1Select materiality candidates

Using the GRI Standards—an international framework in the sustainability field—and other ESG evaluation organizations as references, the Group identifies social issues and selects candidates for materiality in terms of the company's initiatives by focusing on those that exert a significant impact on the economy, environment, and/or society.

STEP 2Evaluate and analyze materiality candidates

Based on the management philosophy, management strategy, and risk information (including financial aspects) developed by Prestige International from the dual perspectives of the expectations of society and the relevance to the company's management activities and business, the 50 candidates selected in STEP 1 are scored using the risk assessment evaluation method as a reference to evaluate the importance of each item to the company.

STEP 3Identify materiality by checking validity/priority and grouping issues

From the issue evaluations created in Step 2, 21 high-priority items are grouped, the relevance of the issues to the SDGs is set out and checked, and 8 materialities are identified.
Materiality is to be reviewed in accordance with changes in the social issues and the management plan of Prestige International.
Furthermore, the Group will ascertain activity trends over a certain period of time and consider appropriate KPIs for each item.
